Lately, Lexi has been acting like a 2 year old, and really driving me crazy on some days. After cleaning crayon off the windows, taking apart the vacuum to retrieve the filter she shoved inside, and cleaning up goldfish all over the carpet - in the same day- I was exhausted. Turns out, she just wants attention and so on Friday night, I set aside any cleaning I had left and put Carissa right to bed after baths, and spent the rest of the night in Lexi's room, just doing whatever she wanted me to. We colored, played with animals and toys, read EVERY BOOK, and amist this fun, I thought I'd mix it up by sticking a sticker onto her cheek. About 15 minutes later, this is how we looked:
Lexi had so much fun that I was having a hard time figuring out how to transition to bed time, since going into her room and laying down lets her know it's time for bed. She ended up staying up a little later than usual, but that's okay. (And if you knew what her regular bedtime was anyways, you'd think I'm even more horrible.)
We also keep all those freebie magnets you get on the phonebooks or in our case, the library, down so Lexi can reach them and play with them, thus distracting her from anything higher that I don't want her playing with. I guess arranging the magnets on the fridge was getting boring, so here's her new thing:
