BLTs, anyone?

We had our ward Trunk or Treat last night and we finally got to wear the costumes I've been making for MONTHS! I started back in May since I knew that my last trimester of pregnancy tends to be not so pleasant (as is apparent by previous posts). I'm just glad the girls both fit into theirs since they have been growing like weeds, it seems.

But don't be too deceived.

In true "Leavitt" fashion, I finished sewing my final stitches the night before. It was only 15 minutes worth of sewing, but I just had the hardest time sitting at the machine for even that long, due to the position of Hunter. I'm still shocked I popped out an almost 8 lb. kid, since I really don't present much... But that would explain the back pain! And since I had no energy after this delivery, I really had no choice but to make it last minute :-)

So here's our 2011 Halloween family costumes:
Bacon
Lettuce
Tomato
Our Family BLT
And I totally didn't get a picture of our trunk :-( But it was decorated like a picnic table and we were able to make our root beer again, thanks to Eddie getting some concentrate while home back in January (yes, we definitely planned ahead for that!) And it was a hit, as usual :-)
Happy Halloween!

It's much cuter with a baby in it

Today, Hunter wore his Hawaiian Sunday outfit to church :-)
Perfect fit!

My Birthday Present is cuter than your Birthday Present...

Yeah, I just MIGHT be a little happy to not be pregnant anymore...
Can you tell?

But since I'm still recovering and going about each day in a trance, this will not be an all-inclusive detailed post (which I may or may not write; we shall see) but more of a "look at my cute little boy" post :-)

Welcome Hunter Owen Thompson
Oct. 20, 2011 @ 4:00 AM
7 lbs., 15 oz. and 20 inches long
That pic of right after I got done being all sewn up and holding the baby after his bath :-)

Dad is so in love with this little guy!
Hospitals are pretty boring, even when they have Disney Channel

The girls are very much in love with their little brother. Lexi wants to dote on him nonstop and be there for every second of the cuteness.

Carissa was so excited to hold him today... she saw Lexi holding him and kept asking "My turn! I want to hold Baby Hunter!" and she squealed with glee when she got to :-)

Distractions

I'm trying to distract myself.
Most of the time, though, I end up just sitting on the computer, wasting way too much time on useless sites; or on the couch and falling asleep.
My body is prepping for this baby and in doing so, has sucked most of my energy away. Gone. Bye-bye.
This is rather depressing since I don't enjoy being unproductive. Eddie thinks I'm crazy :-)
But now that the contractions, as totally irregular as they could be, have being going on here for a while, I just have to keep myself distracted to not dwell on the fact that I am not yet, in fact, in labor. But as of Wednesday, I'm full term so I'm probably not going to take it easy since both Hunter and myself are quite done with the current arrangement. He likes to let me know that the lack of space is not his cup of [herbal] tea as frequently as possible...and my ever contracting uterus is not helping to ease our discomfort.

ANYWAYS

I have been working on our Halloween costumes off and on for the past 4 or so months, since I am quite aware that I don't fare too well near the end of my pregnancies. I'm sooooo close to being done. I think all that is left will take about 2 hours - total. I just needed to purchase some last minute items (which I did today) and then they should be done. So I should have some cute pictures to share come Halloween time.

In between working on those, I redid my nursing cover that I used for both Lexi and Carissa, as it was getting worn out. And now it's not a pretty pink that was cute when I had little girls, but (to me) awkward for nursing my little boy. It's blue with ducks :-)
I also made two reversible slings- one for me and one for Eddie- to use for Hunter.

and with some of the extra fabric, made a little Sunday outfit for him as well, since we do live in Hawaii :-)
I still have managed to make some of my usual distraction --- sweets--- just not quite as often since standing for long enough to accomplish them left me beat for the next 24-48 hours. Not conducive to a hobby that can make a mess. That and I really needed to be eating LESS sweets, since my room for food is limited. It should be something healthier than cookies or chocolate that is occupying that space, or so I'm told ;-) And I think some of Eddie's coworkers will appreciate it in the long run with their PT tests coming up!
