My Little Girl is 2!

Yesterday was Lexi's birthday and so we tried to make it a really special day for her. She woke up and after she was dressed and ready to go, we headed out to the zoo!

On the way, we picked her up some bagel bites from Eistein's, but she was all over the frozen strawberry lemonade that went with it!

She was so excited to be there and there was lots of friends and family who came to share the day with her.

She loved all the different animals. We ended up with a big group so not everyone stayed together. Ed and I just followed Lexi's lead.

Right before we left, she rode the carousel with Daddy, and was distraught when she had to get off to go home. She did not want to go home at all...so we had to carry the little birthday girl, kicking and screaming back to the car at the end of the day. Not quite the happy birthday picture I'd imagined...

After some more tears in the car, a 20 minute nap, and seeing that we went to Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt's, she was happy again.

That evening, we had the family come over and she got ALOT of presents! She just kept getting excited after each one!

She had a fun filled day and when it was all over, we were all very very tired... You'd think she'd go to bed easily? No...more kicking and screaming :-)
