Lexi turns 1

Lexi opened some presents earlier during the day while Grandma Thompson was visiting, and did really well.





Then everyone came for her little party, and she was a bit overwhelmed.





She got clingy to daddy.





Then she got some books from our friends and she was suddenly interested in looking at her presents again. She absolutely loves books!





She didn't quite tear into her cake like I expected, but the ice cream was another story.





Grandma Leavitt gave her a princess tutu and she was showing us some dance moves with it on.

Playing at the park

Yesterday we went to the park to play as part of a playgroup in our ward. It was a little chilly so not very many people showed up, but I think Lexi had fun anyway. She even got to taste sand before Mom and Dad could clean her hands! Yummy! Later, my friend, Ronnie, and her daughter, Ivy, showed up and the two girls had fun playing in the grass together.

So we finally got the internet in our home, as well as a new computer (Thanks to the Stimilus Payment from Uncle Sam)! It's nice to be able to be back in touch with the world wide web again so I don't have to make a mental list of things to check the next time I have access to a computer with internet. Now I can start doing a blog too, as evident by these words you are reading.
