Baby Shower for Kristi

I put together a fun little baby shower for my good friend, Kristi, this past Saturday as her and her hubby get ready for their first little boy, Hayden. Since I'm still in goober-pregnant-lady mode, combined with hosting-a-baby-shower-while-still-trying-to-be-social mode, I regretfully did not get one picture that day. She, on the other hand, was on top of it for the gift unwrapping, so she graciously gave me a picture to share :-)
 She's awesome like that!

But, due to some strategic planning the day before, I was able to put all the final details together during short intervals with time in between to put up my legs :-) And as a result, I finished the cake before 8 pm on Friday! (They usually are finished during the 11th hr. the night before) And I did manage to get a picture of that:
They are going with a whole ninja theme for their little boy, including the decorations for his nursery. It should be fun. So I made a cake to go along with that.
We had a good turn out with lots of fun and laughter, and since this was Kristi's 3rd shower in as many weeks (Her family and friends from home did one and her husband's work), I think little baby "McNinja" should be good to go when he makes his grand appearance here in the next month. Yea for a instant friend for Hunter!

July Wrap up

Well, I haven't really updated my blog for about a month and I really don't have much of which to update it with. We have been keeping busy, but with nothing big in particular.
The problem is every time I go out, I forget my camera,
Or I forget to use it,
Or I'm too busy to use it even if I remember...

and who really enjoys reading a blog without pictures? I mean, honestly?
So other than the lazy days when Mom just needs to put her feet up while they play quietly* nearby, the girls and I have been out and about to the zoo, the aquarium, the Dole Plantation, North Shore/the Temple, the beach, a museum with volcanoes and dinosaurs... and naturally, the pool. But no pictures.

Cue your imaginations!

We had a traditional July 4th- hung out and then went to the local festivities, which included really really REALLY loud music... or maybe my massive migraine the whole evening made it seem that way. :-P But I endured it because I hate spoiling the fun for everyone else. And although they aren't great, I did manage to get some pictures:
Eating at Subway while Daddy was sleeping

Horse rides at Pearl Harbor's festivities

If my kids could live off of Pringles, they would :-)

 Daddy teaching them the Macarena
Dancing to the live concert - Plain White T's
and then my fireworks pictures look like someone with the jitters took them, so I will not be displaying those as I'm sure you want to keep your head on straight. So THAT'S why they invented tripods!! :-D

When there's not much going on, this is a snapshot of my mornings:
Yup! So that's been our exciting month. (You just fell out of your chair again, didn't you?) I'm very much sympathizing with my friends in AZ who have endured pregnancies during the summer months... Sheesh! I never realized it was that bad since I didn't really have that experience with the last two AND being in Colorado, where I dealt more with too much snow instead of sun.
