Mmmm...Beef Stew in Bread Bowls!

"Can life get any better? I submit that it canNOT!" ~Brian Regan
We had bread bowls for dinner tonight and Lexi loved her own small sized one made just for her. She was happily eating her stew when she realized that the bowl was edible. What a discovery! She got my attention and was pointing to it like "Mom! I can eat the bowl! See?" as she put it in her mouth. It was adorable!

Walking...better and better each day!

Lexi learning to walk has been alot of fun. She is still so small so she looks like she shouldn't be walking just yet, but she's more than old enough. She was pretty stubborn at first. She's been walking for a few weeks now, but chose to be selective of just who she would walk in front of. Grandma Leavitt didn't get to see her until just two days ago, though she walked up and down the halls of church on Sunday. Her friend came back from vacation and suddenly she was showing off her moves without any hesitation. I wonder what goes on in that little head of hers....

This video is from July 31st, just before going to Utah. She had been walking up a storm and she got tired by the time we whipped out the camera.

This video is from Monday night... see how much she's progressed?

(These are in two different apartments, so no, you're not going crazy, we moved in between videos...more to come on that later.)

Trip to Utah

We took a trip to Utah for Tom and Amanda's daughter, Lucy, to be blessed. Unfortunately, Eddie had to work, so we were separated for 3 whole days, which was not too fun at all.

Lexi found the little rocking chair at her cousins' house and loved it!

Me holding Baby Lucy. Soon after this picture, Lexi came up and wacked Lucy upside the head, as if to say, "Hey, what's the big idea? She's MY mom!"
