So in the past month, starting from the youngest to the oldest:
Hunter has now survived 4 1/2 months in our home, despite his cute little sister's attempts to "play" with him. Someday, SOMEDAY, it will occur to her that grabbing her brother's arms and legs as tightly as possible and then pulling said extremity while he is sleeping, is not a good activity. Someday...
He is now 14.5 lbs. (as of yesterday) and just happy, happy, happy...as long as he's not tired, hungry, gassy, etc. The usual baby upsetters. Here's a snippet of what I enjoy each day :-)
He's still not rolling over, but whatever. I'm not too worried about it. He can just play on his tummy instead.
He also moved into his own room in January, in hopes he and I would sleep better. Let's just say, it's a good thing he has a futon in his room :-)
Carissa has been squeezing the last bit of her "two year old-ness" in these past few months, but as she approaches the end of this third year of life, we also are saying goodbye to her diapers! Woo Hoo! I'm glad I waited longer before starting because I think she gets it, whereas even a few months ago, she didn't. This is the main reason I've been slacking because the amount of pictures I took the past few months decreased to avoid many "explicit" pictures :-)
she also likes to sing..while staring at herself in the mirror...
Lexi is a great big sister- to Hunter. Really wish she didn't enjoy fighting with and teasing Carissa, but I think she would get totally bored if she wasn't picking on her. But she loves to hold and cuddle and play with Hunter. Just as long as he's happy. Once his smile turns upside down, he's all mine again!
She's not in preschool right now since her teacher moved to Colorado Springs, and couldn't take us with them! She's getting better with her reading and loves to try and read all kinds of environmental print she sees. We're so excited every time she reads aloud to us!
She also keeps me smiling with her random thoughts. Last week, as we were eating spaghetti, she told me the Parmesan cheese tastes like a tornado. "A tornado?", I said. "What does a tornado taste like?" Then she pointed at her food, with a *Duh!* expression and said "This." Silly me! :-P
All of us have been watching Phineas and Ferb lately, and the girls would watch it every waking hour if we let them. For example, I was starting dinner and asked if Lexi could occupy Hunter while I was busy, and this is what I saw when I came in the room.
The TV is over here ------>
It looks all too familiar. Look at this picture from 3 years ago:
Like Daddy, like daughter!
Me, well, I'm just going day by day. Nothing too exciting. The kids are my life. I just go from one obstacle to the next. The life of a homemaker is not always a glamorous one, but it definitely has it's little rewards. Who doesn't love singing primary songs with their little ones at bedtime, and after prayers hearing your little girls say "I love you, Mom!" as they kiss you?
I still do some baking, though it's not always easy once Ed leaves for work.
Cupcakes with kisses inside!
Cookies for Lexi's friends
Wanted to make these, so I sent some to work with Eddie and the rest for my Activity Day girls
those are Eddie's fingers... it had to be a few cm long!
He also got promoted to Senior Airman...
Well, he had the promotion ceremony, but he officially pins on his next stripe on March 20th! That will be the 2 year mark from when we moved here! Wooo! Why does it feel like so much longer? Oh well, only a year and then some (we extended to June '13 ) until our next chapter and location :-)
And with it being March, the Air Force has this thing called "Mustache March", which means this cute guy:
will soon look like this creeper:

Is it April yet? ;-)

Mike is also doing mustache march. Right now he looks like a teenaged boy that thinks his "mustache" is super cool.
I don't think my oldest really rolled over a whole lot until she learned to crawl, at 8 months. Stubborn child. It is also nice to see other children potty training closer to 3 yrs than 2 yrs. I think S will be a later potty trainer too. Than she can get it faster and my my job easier, right? :)
Loved reading your updated post and seeing the fun pictures and videos. Just sat here with a big grandma smile on my face. Must share with Daddy if I can get him off the computer. Love you. Give hugs to my adorable grandchildren.
