Stubborn

Lately, Carissa has been sitting up in bed as soon as I put her down, despite usually being very tired when I do. Maybe it's the newfound ab strength. Maybe she just is fighting the fact that she's tired. Whatever the reason, she keeps falling asleep...not lying down. This is her nap yesterday. I put her down, closed the door, and came back 5 minutes later to see this:

So being the kind mom that I am (so as not to have her wake up 10 minutes later, crying), I gently picked her up, laid her down on her back, and left. Then about 45 minutes later, I heard her stirring. I peek in and see her sitting up, rubbing her eyes, but essentially, still tired. I sneak away, and come back 5 minutes later to what I thought would be an awake baby.

 Nope.

So I repeated the above and let her sleep some more. 

That's how she fell asleep tonight too. 

I'd personally want to fall asleep laying down, but what can ya do?
