We're trying to decide the best option from here...I mean, she didn't even notice he was gone all day...doesn't care. We'll just save the pet fish for later... and I thought this would be a fun experience for her.
There goes that plan! :-(

on piece of advice... i noticed from your pictures, is you don't have any aeration into the bowl. despite what the fish store will say, gold fish need oxygen. you can buy a little tiny pump that will fit good into that bowl, or you can go with a beta fish, that does not need as much aeration. hope that helps.
Ya, but I'm sure killing a dog would be much harder than killing a fish! He would eat things the kids drop on the floor and he's probly get plenty of oxygen :) But he would also be like having another kid...so I guess the moral of my story is...just have another kid! j/k
well, that's a walmart fish for you:) It's ok, we had a couple goldfish die on us too:)
